In the spring of 2010, the Mayor of Frinton and Walton, Councillor Rober Bucke, had the wonderful idea of bringing the cinema back to Frinton.  With the help of Caxton Books, he successfully ran two screenings to raise money for his charities.  So, when in 2011 his term as Mayor came to an end, he asked us if we would continue with the venture and Cinema-on-Sea was born!

From September to June, we have monthly screenings of new and exciting films on a Saturday night. In the afternoon the doors open and 2.30pm and in the evening at 6.30pm with wine and refreshments for sale at the bar and the performances start at 3pm and 7.00pm.  There is an intermission half way through the film, so you can stretch your legs or taste some of our delicious locally made ice-cream!

Tickets are £8 and on sale at the book shop. Matinees at 3pm and Evening performances at 7.00pm.
